This MEMO field has 18 rows and 70 columns. The TEXT field can be scrolled by using the Up, Down, PgUp, PgDn, Ctrl_PgUp, and Ctrl_PgDn keys, to view the additional rows not currently displayed. Ctrl_Enter is used to save and return to the appoinment window. Ctrl_Esc is used to return without saving. Pressing Enter or the Down key on the last row will save to the MEMO field without returning to the appointment window. ESC when done SCROLLED WINDOW HELP MENU This lets you scan thru tables of a database very easily. It only shows a few of the fields of the database, due to screen size, but the information displayed was selected to help you identify the record you need. You can position the lightbar by either using the arrow keys or by using the locator entry field. This quickly jumps to the first record that meets its criteria. For example, if you are in a LAST NAME window, iy you hit the "H" key, it will position the lightbar at the first "H" database entry. If you then hit a "HE" it will position the lightbar at the first "HE" entry. If there is no such record, it will position the lightbar at the NEXT ascending entry. To start at the first character of the entry field, depress the TAB key. Unless otherwise restricted, to add a new entry, depress the INS key, with the lightbar anywhere. To modify or update an existing entry, position the lightbar, and depress ENTER. To delete an entry, position the lightbar, and depress DELETE. A confirmation window appears. ESC when done UPDATE HELP MENU A view/update/create window lets you deal with all the database fields. If you just want to view the database record, just depress ESC when done. If you want to update a database record, make sure that the action window shows that it is updating an existing record, and the present fields must be showing. depress CTRL and ENTER keys at the same time to record the entry. If you want to create a new database, the action window must show that it is creating a new entry in the "Action" field. When you have entered all the fields you want, just depress CTRL and ENTER keys at once. To backspace to a previous field, depress ESC.
